Every obsessive plant collector has a "wishlist" of plants they would like to acquire if they had the space, money and opportunity (and perhaps spousal buy-in approval...) to get their paws on them.

The space at OoaB is pretty full at the moment - getting more plants might be considered foolish. Still, I'm sure if anything really interesting comes along...

Plants I would like to own (you can find some pictures further down the page):

  1. Aerangis mystacidii
  2. Angraecum breve
    • (In general, most Aerangis and Angraecum are desirable IMO!)
  3. Bartholina burmanniana - interesting terrestrial orchid indigenous to .za; crazy spider-like look to them.
  4. Brassavola nodosa
  5. Bulbophyllum rothschildianum
  6. Bulbophyllum wenlandianum/collettii
    • Bulbophyllum are also very interesting in general
  7. Dendrobium Antelope group.
  8. Dendrobium cuthbertsonii
  9. Dendrobium spectabile
  10. Encyclia cochleata
  11. Macodes petola
  12. Masdevallia glandulosa
  13. Paphiopedilum bellatulum / hybrids
  14. Paphiopedilum rothschildianum
  15. Phragmipedium besseae
  16. Restrepia antennifera (and others!) - Don't think these will like OOAB conditions though :(
    • Pleurothallids look generally interesting.
  17. Rhyncholaelia digbyana
This list will undoubtedly expand as I see new things that I like...!

Things that used to be on the wishlist that have been acquired:
    1.  Aerangis luteo-alba var. rhodosticta
    2.  Aerangis fastuosa
    3. Aerangis modesta
    4. Angraecum didieri

Pictures of some of the wishlist.
(NB photos are collected off the Internet; if you would like them removed from here, contact me!)
